Unfortunately, this doesn't work with keyboard equivalents. For instance, command-option-o doesn't do anything. This patch modifies Find File 1.1.3 to enable the use of the option key with keyboard equivalents. After applying the patch, you'll find that command-option-o opens the selected items and quits Find File. Also, the OFind File ShortcutsEO dialog, available under the Guide menu, states that OYou can quit Find File by pressing the Option key while you click any Find File windowOs close box. O Nice, but it doesn't work ! This patch will also fix this bug. This patch is designed for Find File 1.1.3 only (part of MacOS 7.6). It should work with localized verion, but comes without any warranty. Use it at your own risks ! Enjoy ! As such it is the key to widen and deepen the interpretation of the outcome of a divination. It features the translation James Legge made (published in 1882, England) of the Imperial Edition of the I (published in 1715, China). This alone makes the program useful for anyone interested in the I Ching. Besides that it adds two radical new views to the ancient Book of Changes: the Connexion and the Mediator. It also features an I Ching clock, a presentation of the link between the I Ching and astrology. And it allows you to calculate your natal hexagram. The I Ching Connexion requires a Macintosh with System 7.0 or later, 32-bit Color Quickdraw and at least 256 colors or grays. It's optimised for both PowerPC and 680x0 Macs (FAT application). There is also an update package, "I Ching Connexion 2.3.1 patch", which updates I Ching Connexion 2.3 to version 2.3.1. It doesn't work with versions prior to 2.3. It uses a simple language to allow the text-generation rules to be completely user-configurable. It is easy to write your own rules for McPoet even if you know nothing about programming your Mac. You can also use the large set of built-in rules, or the (now much-improved) automatic rule-generating function which can turn ordinary text into an executable rule. The text morphing features include an automatic version of Tristan Tzara's original Dadaist formula for creating poetry from text, an eecummingsfication feature for imitating the style of the great poet ee cummings, multiple forms of Markov chaining (with several built-in probability tables) and much more. The main improvement to version 4.x is that rule files and the word-type files that they reference are now stored externally, on disk. As a result, there are no longer any strong constraints on the number of word types you can use, or on the number of rules. Version 4.x also includes a number of new features, and many improvements, over the last released version (3.3). McPoet is Dada-ware: uncopyrighted and free. Peak provides superior tools for editing and processing digital audio on the Macintosh computer. Peak was specifically designed to meet the needs and demands of audio professionals. By combining high-quality direct-from-disk digital audio editing features with a lighting fast, completely non-destructive editing environment, Peak provides unsurpassed audio editing power, and makes a superb addition to multitrack workstations -- such as Digidesign's Pro Tools, Macromedia's DECK II, Media 100, and Adobe Premiere. Peak also offers advanced sampler support, and works directly with many popular MIDI sampling keyboards and rackmount samplers. With built-in support for Adobe Premiere audio plug-ins, Peak is compatible with third-party software -- such as the L1, Q10, AudioTrack, and other acclaimed plug-ins from Waves; the Ionizer from Arboretum Systems -- as well as SFX Machine, BIAS's new modular synthesis and multi-effects software. Multimedia developers will be pleased to find that, in addition to standard AIFF and SDII file formats, Peak supports QuickTime and Red Book formats, at both 16- and 8-bit resolution. This new version includes dozens of new and improved features - all of which represent BIAS' commitment to audio professionals. Peak 1.5 is the first Macintosh audio editor to support the RealAudio 3.0 Encoder, providing users with a single application with which to record, edit, and deliver streaming audio over the Internet. Internet authors, multimedia authors, sound designers, and musicians alike will benefit from the addition of Batch File Processing, enabling users to process thousands of audio files with just a few clicks of the mouse. The suggested retail price for Peak is US$499.00, and still includes all four Accessory Paks. Additionally, owners of Digidesign's Sound Designer II, Passport's Alchemy, or Macromedia's SoundEdit 16 can purchase Peak at the Competitive Upgrade price of $299.00. Competitive upgrade prices are available in the US and Canada only and are available only direct from BIAS. The enclosed demo is the FAT version. Your enemy is due to attack across the border at any time, and as a key component of your nation's defense you can expect to be an early target once hostilities commence. Because your gun position is located in the mountains, it is nearly inaccessible to a ground assault. Therefore, the enemy will likely attack you with an aerial onslaught including paratroopers, special forces, and combat engineers. You must use your anti-aircraft weaponry to stave off wave after wave of enemy assaults and buy time for additional supplies to reach your position and bolster the defense. With time, your somewhat antiquated equipment will be replaced by increasingly sophisticated and deadly air defense weaponry, and ground defense emplacements will be erected to help protect your gun position against the inevitable troopers that manage to evade your defensive fire. What you see in the "tight" integration of MS Office. Unless you are careful, when you, for example, copy an Excel chart into a Word document, you get a live link to the entire Excel file. If you double click on the chart, you get full Excel functionality, including access to the data. The 14 MB wasn't just the chart, it was the entire workbook in which the chart was generated! Just saving pieces of an Excel wookbook is a pain because Microsoft thinks the wookbook is such a spiffy idea. It does have its benefits, but the huge files generated are a major drawback if you just want to give someone a small piece. One quick and dirty workaround: do a SaveAs to an older version of Excel that doesn't support the "help" you don't want. You get the chart saved separately (although Excel warns you out the ying-yangs), it is compatible with less bulky older versions, and you can still use it in the latest Excel. Thanks for your reply. Word 5.1a works with the PPC processor, but it has some memory glitch. The fix for it, I believe, is fix-word-system-memory-11.hqx (another respondant told me this). I haven't tried it yet, but hopefully that will fix the problem. I appreciate your anti-Microsoft sentiment. I am always amazed by the percentage of people who are still using Word 5.1a when I see those polls in MacUser and such. Word 6 works okay in Windoze, but I haven't heard anything good about it on the Mac. What word processor do you use? Do you do much work in German? Thanks again. Don't know about displaying images in the www-page. There is a 68000 version of MacSOUP, an offline news reader. The "standard" version would not work, so be sure to grab the one labeled "68000". Also, Eudora Light 1.5.x used to work with 68000 processors; don't know about Eudora Light 3.0.2.
