Clean-Install Assistant makes updating your System Folder to a new version of Mac OS a matter of minutes! And much easier too, since it handles the migration of all your personal items and third-party extensions, printer drivers, special folders, etc. Now you can enjoy the stability of a Clean-Installed System Folder without the hassle of re-installing your essential additions. And it's free for personal use! Clean-Install Assistant also allows the following uses: *Save space and backup your valuable additions and preference files only, instead of the whole System Folder! *Install the same set of additions on multiple Macs: just copy the 'System Folder Additions' folder to each Mac and click 'Add Back'. *Remove extra files and folders from your System Folder to restore it to a previous state: you can take a 'snapshot' of the System Folder and have Clean-Install Assistant extract any items added since. Changes since previous version: *Supports Mac OS 9.0.4 *Is now able to identify the version number of the System Folder it is working on, to recognize Apple files from other versions as additions. *Misc. changes and fixes It is free for personal and educational use. MoonMenu is a system extension that draws the current phase of the moon in the menubar. The menu, when selected, reveals a textual description of the moon phase, illumination percentage, the moon's age in days, and the current lunation number. MoonMenu also comes with an application that can compute the lunar data for any given date. MoonMenu 1.5 adds many new features to the software that places a moon in the current phase into your menubar, including "Blue Moon" rendering, brightness control, and a new, easier to use user interface. I have a number of mailboxes established with filters on received mail to deliver it to the proper mailbox. All that works great. However, the alert (menu bar) flashes when any message is received regardless of which mailbox its put into. Is there a way to only have it flash when mail ends up in the "In" mailbox and not when mail goes to other mailboxes? -- -- Doug ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 00:15:09 +0200 From: Rudi van Houten To: digest@info-mac.org Subject: TrashMan 4.05 Since 1991 I am a user of TrashMan that stabilized in 1992 at level 4.05. Really stabilized. I started to use it on a LC (68020) with System 6.07 MultiFinder and still use it on a G3 with MacOS 9.04. For $10.- really a good product, it probably beats the price/performance of the whole market. But it is now showing some wear and tear, still flawless working, but some spots darken the beauty. I am quite willing to pay for an update, but where is Dan Walkowski? How can the minor troubles be ironed out? It shows as deficiencies in updating the desktop. Perhaps some other minor troubles are creeping in. Or major troubles with MacOS X? I should like to continue the use of TrashMan. -- Rudi van Houten -- Netherlands :-) Fantasy is given mankind to make amends for what he is not, and a sense of humour as consolation for what he is. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Sep 2000 13:37:36 +0200 From: Jean-Philippe Pellet To: Info-Mac Digest Subject: Using AppleTalk on two ports Hello, I would like to know if it is somehow possible to use at the same time both the Ethernet and the Printer port of my Quadra 950 to do AppleTalk. Is there any utility that will let me do this? TIA, JPP -------------------------------- --Info-Mac-Digest-- End of Info-Mac Digest ******************************
