Mini Spec Selector

Selecting Mini Specs from the Requirements menu opens the Mini Spec Selector, allowing you to create a new Mini Specification or work on an existing one. A Mini Specification is a brief but precise text description of what happens inside a Node.

Every Node should have a Mini Specification associated with it which explains how the incoming data are transformed into outgoing data. Every Node which is not further refined into a child diagram must have a Mini Specification.

If you are already editing a Flow Diagram you can edit a Mini Specification directly using the Edit Mini Spec command from the Node popup.

You can select an object by typing its name in the Enter name field. If the object does not already exist you are asked if you want to create it. Wild cards are allowed in this field. Alternatively, click on List All and then scroll through the list until you find the object you want. Click on the name to select it.

A selected object is shown in reverse video (highlighted). You may highlight more than one object if required. Pop up the selector menu and choose an operation. Some commands are not available if you have highlighted more than one object.
