Traceability Link Attributes

Edit opens the Traceability Link Attribute box. From this box you can view the automatically created attributes and edit the optional user-definable attributes.

Read-only attributes: The type of Traceability Link (tool defined or user defined) and the dates of creation, last update and last analysis of the Traceability Link.

User-definable attributes: The characteristics of the Traceability Link, the author and a comment describing the Traceability Link.

The characteristics of a Traceability Link indicate whether it is total, partial or unspecified from the point of view of each of the objects. The default is unspecified for both objects.

A total Traceability Link means that, within this group of Links, the object can only have this one Traceability Link to another object. A partial Traceability Link means that the object must have at least one other partial or unspecified Traceability Link. Because the Traceability Link is seen from two points of view, the same Traceability Link could be total for one object but partial for the other.
